Dear Mark and Steffen,

Hope you are well. I just wanted to thank you for all your involvement and assistance with the print service migration and very prompt responses to our queries – it helped us enormously and saved a lot of time.
The project was a success and all involved were complimented by our CIO for their efforts and commitment.

Personally I enjoyed  working with you and again many thanks for making it so easy for us to get all necessary assistance from you.

Best regards,

Betasoft were introduced to us as a company with a reputation for providing informative and independent advice when selecting a managed print service.  They have considerable experience of working in this environment, and their advice helped us to establish exactly what we would need from the service.

Having made a decision to implement Safecom, their staff provided us with a real insight into its capabilities.  They also helped us to establish a proof of concept and revealed how we might leverage additional potential from a complete solution.

We were so impressed with the assistance that we received, that we asked for Betasoft to work alongside the contracted supplier of our managed print solution to provide specialist technical advice and support.  Given the complexity of our environment and the issues that we’ve faced, their assistance and bespoke solutions, particularly around user authentication, have proved invaluable.

As a company, they have always shown themselves to be exceptionally knowledgeable, thorough, responsive, and happy to provide us with general advice as and when needed.  As a result, we are looking to broaden our engagement with them going forward, and would have no hesitation in recommending them to other organisations.

Using SafeCom we have delivered very reliable (rock solid) high volume printing (approx. 6 million pages per year) across approx. 120 devices for 50K users without issue for 2 years. Betasoft have provided excellent first line support in deployment and management and I would not hesitate to recommend both.

Pete Mitchell, Directories and CSCE Team Leader, The University of Glasgow

In 2012 after a formal tender process the University of St Andrews awarded Betasoft the contract to deliver a SafeCom Print Management Software solution to interoperate with our new fleet of multi-function printers. The software provides secure and confidential print release for all our students and allows users to be in control over where and when their documents are printed. The system takes care of all pre-pay and charging aspects. Students can top up their accounts online using either their credit and debit cards or using our modern cash kiosks.  It’s the University’s intention to roll this system out to staff areas in the near future.

The University of St Andrews has over 8000 students  – and they have embraced the change, finding it a great improvement on the solution it replaced. Recent student surveys returned extremely positive feedback.

The consultants at Betasoft worked closely with our in-house IT team to ensure that knowledge of the system architecture and configuration was transferred to the university. Their technical support service during the installation and since the solution went live has been excellent. Much of the installation and trouble-shooting was being done remotely and as a result was highly flexible and responsive to our needs. On the one occasion when the software failed Betasoft went out of their way to rectify the problem as quickly as possible.

Given our experience with Betasoft  I would recommend the company to other colleagues in Higher and Further education or indeed any other organisations looking to implement a print management software solution.
